Momiji Fuji – Autumn Maple & Mt. Fuji
A beautiful new design from Rakushian’s Autumn 2026 collection, handmade in Kyoto, Japan.
Beyond brilliant red momiji maple leaves, snow-capped Mt. Fuji rises beside a quiet lake beneath a softly glowing autumn sun. The contrast of vivid crimson leaves, clear blue Fuji and the warm natural linen creates a particularly striking image of Japan at the height of autumn.
Rakushian’s distinctive Slim Tapestries measure only about 10 cm wide but an impressive 170 cm long. Their unusually narrow proportions make them ideal for a pillar, entranceway or narrow wall where a conventional wall hanging might be difficult to display.
The tapestry is made from 100% linen, with the design individually hand-dyed onto the naturally textured woven cloth. The irregularities of the linen weave are part of its character and give the piece a warm, handcrafted appearance.
The hanging rod is made from white birch, with a small weighted section at the bottom to help the long tapestry hang neatly.
