Picked Up Fresh from the Factory in Kyoto!
Izutsu Yatsuhashi are among Kyoto’s most famous and traditional omiyage sweets, with a history stretching back generations.
Unlike the soft nama-yatsuhashi that many visitors know today, these are the original-style hard-baked Yatsuhashi — thin, crisp rice cookies delicately flavoured with cinnamon. Their distinctive curved shape is said to resemble the body of a koto, the traditional Japanese stringed instrument.
What makes ours especially fresh is that we pick them up directly from the nearby Izutsu Yatsuhashi factory in Kyoto and ship them to you the same day.
Each beautifully packaged 340g gift box contains 48 Yatsuhashi, individually packed as:
16 packs × 3 cookies = 48 cookies per box
This listing is for three boxes, giving you:
3 × 340g boxes
144 Yatsuhashi in total
Total weight: 1,020g
The individual packs make them ideal for sharing with family, friends or colleagues, serving with Japanese tea or coffee, or giving as an authentic Kyoto gift.
Freshness
The Yatsuhashi have an expiration period of approximately 60 days from the date we pick them up from the factory. We collect them fresh for your order rather than keeping large quantities in stock.
