VTG 1983 Small Handbag Woven Cotton Katsuojima Stripe Design for Kimono Kitsuke

This lovely little handbag is made in a woven cotton fabric in a traditional indigo katsuojima stripe with red side panels. It has lacquered metal trim and black, leather (or leather-like) double handles. It is lined in indigo cotton. The newspaper stuffing found inside shows it to have been made around 1983.

It is in perfect, probably never-used condition – see photos.
