Jinbe are a traditional Japanese folk garment worn for generations in Japan for casual home wear in the hot months of summer. These are made in a textured indigo cotton weave called “Shijira-Ori”. The patterns are woven into the fabric – not printed. The top has short sleeves with vents and ties across both inside and outside. There is a single patch pocket on the left side of the top and the waist of the pants is elasticized for comfort with a tie at the waist.
Avoid washing your jinbe with white clothing at the start just to make sure as some transfer may occur. In addition, please avoid putting them in the dryer.
