This stunning kimono was made in the 1970s~ 80s. It is a deep red with a “Ryusui” flowing water design and gorgeous “Tachibana” floral motif. It is made of Onichrimen silk and is treated with a non-soiling agent. It has the seal of the artist (Akagi Udo) – the counter part to “by appointment to the imperial family”. This is for someone who wants a truly fine kimono.

It is in excellent condition and has been carefully stored and was no doubt owned by someone of wealth and social standing as it would have been very costly when new. The outer silk has no apparent issues and the lining is in very good condition save for a few brownish age spots – see photos.

It comes in the protective washi paper Tatoushi. See photos for measurements and other details.

Note that silk looks different depending on the light and we have attempted to be as accurate as possible.
