Mens Onsen Resort Wooden Geta Clogs In Traditional Prints Size 27cm

These traditional clogs or “Geta” are made of natural cedar wood (Yaki-Sugi) that has been chard on the outside and then sanded off to bring out the contrast of the grain. They are sculpted to your foot for comfort and have a wonderful cedar sent. The straps are made of sturdy, stiffened fabric and bolted to the sides of the clogs. The bottoms have textured, non-slip rubber pads. “Size 27″ is 25cm long as it is considered optimal for your heal to overhang by 2~3 cm – this is true of all traditional footwear in Japan. The heal is about 3” high and the width of the clogs is abut 9cm at the ball of the foot. These are meant as standard size for all men within reason and not recommended for people who normally wear over size 28.

They are beautifully hand-crafted in Japan.

Clogs like this are normally used outside to slip into when venturing out in the garden or deck. At hot spring resorts, they are provided to guests to come and go from their room to the bathhouse.
