Japanese Zori & Bag Matching Set in Cotton Tsumugi Katsuojima Stripe

This lovely set contains a pair of zori and a matching handbag in a katsuojima stripe cotton Tsumugi fabric. Probably made in the 1970 or 80s with quality materials and craftsmanship.

The zori  have lightweight cork soles with leather bottoms. They still have the original tag attached. Note that Zori are not ment to “fit” like western footwear and optimally, your foot will overhang the heel a few cm.

The bag has a double cord handle. It is lined in pale yellow fabric with bamboo closures.

Condition:

Vintage, perfect, never used condition in their original storage box and tag (box shows some shelf-wear) – see photos.

Note that the box is rather large and the shipping rate reflects that.
