Vintage Japanese Zabuton Cushion Covers – Set of 5 – Red Shibori Floral Design – 100% Cotton – Unused in Original Box

A beautiful set of five vintage Japanese Zabuton cushion covers featuring a traditional Shibori-inspired floral design in rich burgundy red, with striking purple, golden yellow and white accents.

The pattern combines bold stylised flowers and foliage with intricate white dotted motifs reminiscent of traditional Japanese Kanoko Shibori (fawn-spot tie-dye). The contrast between the richly coloured floral sections and the delicate dotted patterns gives these covers a particularly attractive Japanese textile character.

Made from 100% cotton, these covers are designed for traditional Japanese Zabuton floor cushions, commonly used in tatami rooms, Japanese-style sitting rooms and traditional homes.

This is a complete matching set of five, beautifully presented in its original Japanese gift box with the original manufacturer’s label.

Condition:

All five covers are in excellent, unused condition, preserved in their original presentation box. The box shows minor signs of storage and handling consistent with age. Please refer to the photographs for details.

About the Original Label:

The original Japanese manufacturer’s label identifies the design as Shibori Kikyo (絞りキキョウ), referring to a traditional tie-dye-inspired bellflower pattern.

The label also confirms the 100% cotton composition, 55 × 59 cm size and Japanese manufacture.

The manufacturer’s illustration shows the cushion design in blue alongside the red version. This listing is for the RED set of five covers shown in the actual product photographs.
