A beautiful large-format Japanese furoshiki by Nunoya (布屋), presented unused in its original gift box.
Crafted from richly textured 100% Shantung cotton, this elegant textile features a sophisticated patchwork design incorporating traditional Japanese geometric motifs, stylized botanical studies, and indigo-inspired patterns in shades of deep navy, cream, blue, rust, and white.
The substantial 114 × 114 cm size makes this piece far more versatile than an ordinary wrapping cloth. It can be used as a traditional furoshiki, decorative table covering, wall hanging, furniture accent, or displayed as textile art.
The accompanying insert describes Nunoya’s philosophy of bringing traditional Japanese aesthetics and harmony into modern daily life through thoughtfully designed textiles.
This is a wonderful example of late 20th-century Japanese textile design and remains in unused condition with its original presentation box.
