This set is for applying and spreading liquid makeup like our Pro Shiro-nuri Oshiroi set. Or our Pro Liquid Body Makeup. It includes two of the exact items used by the Maiko and Geisha of Gion to apply their Shiro-Nuri makeup.
The opaque, white ‘Shiro-Nuri’ makeup is first diluted and painted on with a ‘Hake’ brush and this Sponge Puff is used to spread it our and absorb the moisture. It is also perfect for applying masks.
The Pro Sponge Puff measures: 3¾” across or 9.5cm and has a ribbon handle.
The dish measures: 4½” or about 12cm
Both items are made by the famous Mitsuyoshi which has a long history of supplying makeup to the Maiko and Geiko of Gion and to Kabuki Actors from the Minamiza.
