VTG Heavy Cotton Aizome Indigo Tabanenoshi Noren by Sasakura Genshodo: A

This stunning noren was purchased in the 1980s and never used – it is still in its original package with tags. It is made of heavy woven cotton dyed in indigo in a traditional Tabanenoshi design. The top is designed to be used with a stick or bamboo pole. It was produced by Sasakura Genshodo, a renown collector of antique Japanese textiles and is a museum-quality reproduction of one of the items in his collection.
