This striking hand-dyed linen tapestry is from our new JAPAN series. It depicts Inari-san, an iconic shrine located in Fushimi, Kyoto that is said to bring good luck for the harvest and prosperity to businesses. It is famous for its line of thousands of vermilion torii gates on the approach to Mt. Inari, the shrine of worship. The scenery of a “mountain tour” where you follow the torii gates and approach the top of the mountain. It will add a distinctive touch of Kyoto to your room.
These skinny tapestries are made of natural-woven Ramie linen hand dyed in various Kyoto theme designs. They have a wooden rod at both ends with a string at the top and are weighted at the bottom to allow them to hang straight.
They measure 10 cm wide X 170 cm long and can be hung on a pillar or anywhere in the room. You can also combine several pieces together to make a lovely display for a particular season or theme.
