This is the haori or coat worn over a nemaki in the colder months. It has roomy sleves to accomodate the nemaki sleeves and ties in the front. In Japan, hotel guests often wear these around the hotel and even in the streets of onsen hot sping resorts. Generally, such garmentsi are considered unisex and one-size-fits-all and they will fit most people within reason. It goes without saying that they will be shorter on some people than on others and the sleeves longer on some people than others but in Japan, that is normally of no concern. This was probably made in the 1970s and never worn.
